We're so glad your here!

What do we believe? Here it is in the simplest form:

We believe that Christ died for all of us while we were still sinners: He took the punishment for our sin. With His blood, He purchased salvation and redemption for all who believe in Him. (John 3:16; Isaiah 53:5; Titus 2:14)

We believe that salvation is totally an act of God's Grace that is accessed through faith in Jesus Christ. No person can be good enough to earn salvation and "being good" does not contribute to receiving God's love and favor. (Ephesians 2:8, 13)

What Does A Foursquare Member Look Like?

Foursquare members are like you! Some like music, have broken marriages, great kids, difficult upbringings, interesting (and not so interesting) jobs, and the list goes on. But, one thing they all have in common is the opportunity to accept the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. The Foursquare Church currently sees 247,464 taking part in our local U.S. churches in an average month. Worldwide, there are over 7,000,000 members and adherents, over 90,000 churches or meeting places and more than 88,000 licensed ministers around the globe.

Fellowship

We're a church that loves to spend time together!  The Scriptures tell us that we are designed for fellowship and so here at Triumphantlife we look for every opportunity to enhance our lives by spending time together and forming friendships that last a lifetime and beyond.

Let us buy your lunch or dinner!

In addition to our many events and gatherings throughout the year, Triumphantlife offers regular refreshments and meals through its Cornerstone Cafe. Why Membership?

Because its Biblical!

Why then do we have membership? Because regardless of how the culture sees it or Christians might occasionally misunderstand it, membership is not simply an opportunity to say, "I’m a part of a club", but rather its a scriptural expression of covenant-connectedness to Christ’s church. I am not a Lone Ranger Christian.

There are three things that help us understand why church membership is biblical and important.

Membership Reflects What the Church Is.

First, membership is a reflection of the organic community already existing in the "Body". The Apostle Paul says we are a body. Can one part say to the other, “I’m not part of you”? No, it is already a part. But too often we live as if we are separated. As a matter of fact, too many churches or Christian gatherings look like piles of dismembered body parts, not a body knit together as God’s agent, His body, His kingdom, at work in the world. To reject the value of membership is to deny what God has already established in fact.

The Bible Teaches Covenant Community.

We find in Paul’s letters to the church at Corinth that they were putting a member out of the local body of believers (in this case obvious and unrepentant moral error). So, Scripture teaches that we can be a part of the body, and we can be apart from the body. It is impossible, to get around Scripture when it talks about being brought into the body and also being put out of it. And yet for most churches there’s no way to put somebody out because they’re not even in. While there seems to be flexibility according to various bodies, there is no such thing in the New Testament as a church without some recognition of belonging—of membership in community.

People Need Church Membership.

Finally, we recognize biblical membership matters because people need it. People need membership commitment because they need to be connected to a Christian community. This is not just for the sake of the faith community, but also for the sake of the individual. Individualist Christianity is a myth and a damaging pursuit. At the end of the day we’re redeemed. We’re placed in the body. The Bible specifically says He has redeemed us. He has transferred us, Colossians 1 says, from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of the Son He loves. A kingdom has a king. The king has subjects and his kingdom has a community together where we function as God’s people.

Membership Matters

God makes us a part of His larger family when we are born again. But then we should covenant in a local body and live in a local community with them, agreeing to live by certain established godly principles and standards. Membership doesn’t save us. But it enables us to grow and become spiritually mature in Christ. Not only should we be members of the body, each of us should also be able to express the value of membership. Hopefully, then people will stop squirming when we bring up the topic, but instead passionately embrace the biblical nature of church membership.

Discipleship

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

And surely I am with your always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 28: 18-20

One of the most important things we do is to empower believers through effective teaching. So, whether you're new to church or you're a lifelong believer, there is a discipleship program or class for you.  To be a disciple is to be a life long learner.  So, come join us and let's learn together about life and the giver of life...Jesus Christ.
